Welcome to Gina Best’s New Mortgage Blog.

I field a lot of questions regarding a variety of subjects. They range from inquires about a client’s current mortgages, how to get a new mortgage, what is the best type of mortgage and so on. These questions come from existing clients and people who just need information. When mortgages are in the news I get a lot of phone calls from people who are not my clients but have gotten my name and need to speak to someone.

This made me stop and think. There are millions of mortgages in Canada; these mortgages represent people’s biggest liability and their biggest assets and at least half of these mortgage holders do not have a mortgage manager.

I truly believe that if you have a mortgage you should have a mortgage manager. This manager should be someone who is totally independent, not tied to any lending institution, to look after your needs. They can track, monitor and review your mortgage to make sure it is continually working for you. They are in touch to make sure you know what is going on and if you have any questions or need reassurance they are just a phone call or e-mail away.

I cannot be everyone’s mortgage manager but I can sure try and one of the ways I am going to do this is by blogging.

I will deliver current mortgage information without the media spin. You will have access to information that can help you make decisions about your mortgage. Also included will be features on interesting people and businesses that relate to our lives and what is happening in the financial market and world today.
